Welcome to my Original Art Work Gallery. Each piece is made out of real plant material and sealed using my special process. To ensure the quality and the preservation of my work, these originals are only available framed. Since each design is created using natural materials, each one is unique and once it is sold it will be removed from the website. Although no piece of art can be identically reproduced, I can recreate the general feel of the design of a previous work. All originals are signed and dated by me.

Getting a dandelion to go through my process and keeping the 'Puff' intact, is by far the hardest thing that i do. I may get 1 out of every 50 that I try to preserve!  This is the longest one to date that I have succeeded with.  I mounted the dandelion on a very deep mottled blue background, the mat is a 3"marbleized white/gold, the frame is a simple deep navy wood frame with beige lines.

This perfectly formed white dogwood is mounted on a burgundy background and framed in a gold-leaf wood frame.

The background of this piece is painted in hues of green and mauve. There is some 'sparkle' in the sky.  The tulips are a soft apricot color. The other flowers used are foam flower, mini daffodils, and some trout lily's.  It is a color full and vibrant piece!

The background of this piece is a mixture of greens and blues. It has strips of wood out of Birdseye maple, lace wood, cherry, and oak. The plant material is a combination of woodland plants. Jack in the pulpits, fiddlehead ferns, Solomon's seal, Indian pipe, Running cedar, Gingko leafs, and even some Flicker Feathers. The outer Matt is a dune colored suede matt that is embossed with leaves. The frame is solid cherry. It is truly 'Enchanting'.

A garden of wild queen annes lace done on a black background, double matted with marbleized gold inner matt, ivory outer matt. Frame is a wide pewter leaf embossed wood.

This piece is made of golden gingko leafs collected in the fall.

The background has been painted in autumn Hughes mixed with black.  It is double matted with an antique copper inner matt , the outer matt is a mottled black, the frame is a marbleized antique gold.  It is sure to be a conversation piece in anyones home!

I achieve the green effect by putting the stems in food coloring which draws the color up into the veins of the flower!  This piece is done on white and double matted with a sage green inner matt and a white outer matt which has a leaf embossing design in it.  The frame is a mottled green/gold/blue.

The Jack in the Pulpit is my favorite wildflower.  They are rare and hard to find but I'm lucky that I have some growing in my woods! I go looking for them every spring and its a spiritual experience, tromping through the woods....my eyes trained for the Jacks.  I call that time 'going Jackin'!    This one is triple matted with sage green, black, and off white with a gold leaf frame that brings out the black and green highlights of the flower.

This striking Asiatic lily has shades of green, burgundy, and yellow.  It is done on a white background, and triple matted with burgundy, green, and an embossed white outer matt.  The frame is a mottled green/gold.  The detail in the veins of the flower are impossible to capture by a digital image but its quite amazing!

This piece is made from different Lily varieties, with some coleus leaves and pieces of celosia. It is on a blue/green background and is double matted with a gold inner matt and an Ivory outer matt with geometric embossing. The frame is a mottled gold with blue/green splotches. A very cool kaliedescopic effect!

Moondance is a very unique piece of artwork.  I have painted the background in teals and dark blues, giving a mottled effect. Then I used real dandelions to create a dancing effect, almost as if the dandelions are dancing and swaying under the moonlight.

The outer mat is 4" wide with a pearlescent sheen. The frame is 3" wide with teal, dark blue, and copper effects.

The piece is Very three dimensional in every respect.

"Nocturnal Woods"........

I started with painting the background in different shades of green paint mixed with granite and sparkles....then used strips of bark , maple, cherry,lace woods burls etc.

The plant material consists of ferns, jack in the pulpits, spotted wintergreen, Indian pipe, lichen, mushrooms, and various leaves......then added a small dragonfly, butterfly's, moths, and feathers........

This piece has an enchanting feeling of a night time forest.

It is double matted with a maple color inner mat and a texturized, sparkling black outer mat. The frame is solid maple.

I grow these beautiful larkspur in my wildflower garden.

It is done on a white background, and double matted with a mauve inner matt and a white outer matt. The frame is embossed gold leaf.

This Queen Anne's Lace is on a black background and double matted with a marbleized gold inner matte, and an Ivory outer matt. The Frame is black with gold embossing.

I painted the background with metallic golds, pewter and blacks, in a swirling motion.  The center flower is a huge peony, with orchids and money plant circling around it.  The border is made from Phalenopsis and peacock orchids.   I matted it with an inner metallic gold and an outer  matt of white leather.  The frame is gold with black accents on wood.

This piece is composed of daffodils and tulips .The colors are soft yellows, pinks and sage green tinted leafs. The outer matte is sage green suede and I have Hand sponged contrasting green to the surface. The Frame is gilded gold. I love the movement of the flowers. It's as if they dance.

This piece was inspired by the beautiful sunsets we have in the Blue Ridge mountains......

The background was painted with many shades of acrylic paints, and muted together to created a very colorful but soft background.  The flowers I used are- gladiolas, tulips, lupine, snapdragons, delphinium, Lily's, iris, golden rod, and Spanish lavender.  It is a bold, yet soft piece. I had a blast creating it!

The frame is a rich maple with black embossing on the edges.

This yellow tulip is tinged with green, done on a white background, double matted with a sage green inner matt and an outer white matt embossed with leafs.  The frame pulls it all together with shades of green and gold!

This is a beautiful Va. dogwood picked at the height of its season.  It is mounted on black, and double matted with a gold inner matt and an ivory outer matt. The frame is a wide black and gold mottled look,on wood.
