Woodland Refuge 30 x 41

In this creation I used many different varieties of woodland flowers as well as strips of burled maple. Gingko’s as the forest canopy and hosta’s as the floor. I used Jack in the Pulpits and fiddlehead ferns, lady slipper orchids, ferns, celosia, grass, dandelions, Lenten rose and euphorbia. The piece has been permanently sealed prior to framing. The background is a dark eggplant color and I double matted this with an oak color inner mat and an eggplant outer mat. The frame is a textured oak wooden frame. This one is definitely a conversation piece!
